LeVeon Bell Signs With The New York Jets

Running back LeVeon Bell has agreed to a four-year, $52 million deal with the New York Jets, according to sources.

Bell, formerly of the Pittsburgh Steelers, sat out the entire 2018 season after refusing to play under the franchise tag for $14.5 million. His new contract warrants him to make about $13 million per season which is less than what the Steelers offered so some may question his past decision to spurn the Steelers offers they made in the 2018 offseason.

Where Will LeVeon Bell Play Next Season?

Pittsburgh Steelers RB hasn’t played on a football field in well over a year. The reason being is because of a never ending contract dispute with the Steelers that led to the six-year veteran sitting out the entire 2018 season. Would he be crazy or wise to resign witht the Steelers after they basically toyed with him for the past three season. Think about it, the Steelers didn’t want to reup on their best player after his rookie contract expired. That’s asinine when your best player in under 30, the most productive player in the league at this position and when he’s only played in one full season mainly due to suspensions, meaning that he’s got less tear on him than other running backs his age. So what team will truly value LeVeon’s talents?

My gut is telling me that LeVeon wants to play for a Super Bowl contender. After all he almost helped propel the Steelers to the Super Bowl in 2016 and helped them to a 13-3 record the following season, although they fell short in the playoffs again. So who all has falling just a tad short of the ultimate goal and could use LeVeon’s service? The Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens all come to mind as contenders who would elevate if they had the star RB.
