The Kansas City Chiefs have released running back Kareem Hunt after a video was released on Friday stemming from an incident in February.
The Chiefs had actually known about Hunt’s February incident yet they decided to move forward with the second-year back after they allowed the NFL and law enforcement to look into the matter. The video, released by TMZ, shows Hunt pushing a young woman and also kicking her as she was crouching to the ground in what appeared to be a hotel hallway.
“I deeply regret what I did.” Hunt stated in an apology. “I hope to move on from this.”
